History:

change:healthcare was founded in 2006 by Parks following the cancer death of his parents within a year of each other, which forced him to handle piles of bills, invoices and explanation of benefits for their care.
Determining there had to be a way to bring order to the staggering amount of billing paperwork generated by today’s healthcare system, he united programmers from across the globe to develop what has become
MedBillManager, the company’s cornerstone product. The company has also directed attention in growing the Web 2.0 consumer movement, which uses the internet to connect consumers with each other to bring increased transparency into the healthcare industry.

change:healthcare medical bill management platform: An internet-based platform that helps consumers organize medical bills & insurance reimbursement paperwork for easier handling. The product also allows users to compare physicians, hospitals, providers, even pharmaceutical information.
My Healthcare is Killing Me: A book that educates individuals on the ins and outs of the business side of their healthcare, helping them become more savvy healthcare consumers. Slated for release the second quarter of 2008.
